People Arriving to South Park from the South
Anticipating that people will begin arriving at about 5:30 a.m. we will have volunteers posted to help direct you. The easiest and most convenient way for you to get to the event and park is to enter the city of Waupaca at the US Hwy 10/22 interchange. After exiting, go north towards downtown. If you come this way we will begin parking people at Site #3 – South Park Lower Shelter. This is a nice lot, very close to the main event area. Once filled, parking attendants will direct people to Site #4 – Shadow Lake Boat Ramp. This site is small. Once filled, you will be directed to Site #5 – Bowersox Park. this is a small passive park with limited parking. However, the park is on a dead end road that can accommodate parking on one side. Finally, once this site is filled you will be directed to Site #6, the city of Waupaca Recycling Center. This is the largest designated parking area. From this area 3 trolleys will transport you and your supporters to South Park.
People Arriving to South Park from the North, West and East
If you come into town on Hwy 49 or Hwy 54 it may be easier for you to find and park at Site #1 – Holly Funeral Home. Please note that if there is a funeral or other related activity then this parking area will not be available. Once this lot fills then you can park at Site 2 – west side of South Washington St. Your best bet however is to get on to US 10 and exit onto Hwy 22 and make your way to Site #6 – Waupaca Recycling Center.
There will also be parking along city streets further north of Lake Street. There is NO PARKING along South Main Street from South Park North to Lake Street. There is NO PARKING along Cty K from South Park, South to the Recycling Center so as to keep the paved traffic open and safe for pedestrians.
